About Period Delay
Some people want to delay their period, for example for a holiday or event. A pharmacist can check if a period delay tablet is safe for you and, if suitable, supply norethisterone or medroxyprogesterone (Provera).
Who it’s for
- Women aged 16 to 55 with regular periods (every 21 to 35 days)
- Not suitable if you are or might be pregnant, or are breastfeeding
- Not suitable if you have had a blood clot, heart attack or stroke, liver disease or a hormone-related cancer
- If you take the combined pill, patch or ring, you may be able to use it back to back instead
