About Facial Hirsutism
Hirsutism is when women have thick, dark hair in places such as the face. A pharmacist can check if a prescription cream that slows facial hair growth (Vaniqa) is suitable for you.
Who it’s for
- Women aged 18 and over with unwanted facial hair
- Not suitable if you are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Not suitable if the skin where you would use the cream is broken, inflamed or infected
- See a GP if it bothers you and you also have irregular periods. Get an urgent GP appointment if new thick, dark hair suddenly starts growing on your face and body
