Why we built DigiPharma
UK community pharmacies are delivering more clinical services than ever. Pharmacy First, independent prescribing, travel health, weight management — the scope keeps expanding. But the tools haven't kept up.
Pharmacists were drowning in paperwork. Manual consultation notes taking 25 minutes. No standardised protocols. No way to track patient outcomes. And with newly qualified pharmacists becoming Independent Prescribers from September 2026, the gap was only going to get wider.

John brought deep clinical expertise from 25 years as an NHS GP and healthcare leader. Craig brought real-world pharmacy operations knowledge from running 10 pharmacies in Scotland. Together, they built a platform that combines clinical rigour with practical pharmacy workflows.
The result: the only platform built for both PGD services and Independent Prescriber consultations in one place. Used every day by 1,000+ pharmacists across England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Ireland.

LinkedInPractising GP with 25+ years NHS experience. Trained at Glasgow University (1999-2004), awarded FRCGP in 2018 for his contribution to general practice.
Served as Deputy Medical Director for Primary and Urgent Care in NHS Scotland for 16 years, specialising in leadership, governance, and digital health.
Product Management certified (Mind the Product, 2020). Serial health-tech entrepreneur with experience spanning GP video consultations and AI in mental health before founding DigiPharma.

Operates 10 pharmacies around Glasgow and the west of Scotland. Member of the Community Pharmacy Scotland Board.
Designed DigiPharma to solve the real problems pharmacists face every day — because he lives them. Leads pharmaceutical governance and PGD development.

Software Engineer & Product Manager
Software engineer and product manager with 10+ years in technology, spanning software development, technical leadership and product management.
Holds a BSc in Software Engineering and an MSc in Cinema and Media Communication Engineering from Politecnico di Torino, alongside PMP® and AI for Product Management certifications.
Works as a product builder, combining hands-on technical understanding with product strategy and delivery to bridge business needs, user experience and software development.
