About Hair Loss (Male Pattern)
Male pattern hair loss is thinning or baldness in adult men. It usually causes a receding hairline and hair loss on top of the head. A pharmacist can check if a tablet treatment (finasteride) is suitable for you.
Who it’s for
- Men aged 18 to 65
- Gradual thinning or a receding hairline from male pattern hair loss
- See a GP if you have patchy hair loss, a red, scaly or itchy scalp, or fast hair loss after illness or weight loss
- Speak to your GP practice if you are worried about sudden or unexpected hair loss
